Conditioned Adaptive Control for an Uncertain Bioreactor with Input Saturation and Steep Settling Desired Output

In this work, a controller is developed for continuous bioreactor with an unknown reaction rate term, subject to input saturation. The substrate concentration and the dilution are chosen as output input, respectively. formulation stability analysis performed by theory of dead zone Lyapunov functions, stability, model reference adaptive control. As main results, dynamics function determined separately saturation non-saturation events, then unified expression deduced. addition, asymptotic convergence tracking error boundedness updated parameters whole closed loop regime encompassing also terms system models. contributions over closely related control designs, (i) effect constraint limits desired on during events determined, considering settling behavior steep section; (ii) upper limit that guarantees terms, but independently time derivative its limit; (iii) new proposed which allows proving in presence fast variation output. Finally, effectiveness advantages illustrated simulation.
